Dear AEM Members,

For the upcoming 2026-27 program year of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the Art Educators of Minnesota will be stepping back from administering the Minnesota Art Region. With this change in mind, we want to inform you that constituents will instead be served by the multi-state Midwest Art Region administered by the Belin-Blank Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development at the University of Iowa. It has been our great pleasure to run the Scholastic Art Awards for Minnesota.

You'll be in good hands! The Belin-Blank Center is proud to serve as the Midwest Region-at-Large Affiliate for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards program. As Affiliate for the region, they accept art and writing submissions, judge those submissions, hold an awards celebration recognizing regional winners, and provide summer programming for talented young artists and writers. You can visit artandwriting.org/regions to learn more about the region.
