American Disability Act in Education
Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), schools must provide reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities who meet the requirements. This means that schools must make changes to their programs and services so that students with disabilities can learn and participate equally. Reasonable accommodations can include a variety of things, such as extra time on tests, modified assignments, and access to assistive technology.
