YOUTH ART MONTH FLAG COMPETITION

The theme of this year’s flag competition is The World Needs Art. The winning Middle School flag will represent MN at the NAEA Convention in Chicago, IL in March 2026. Each first place prize winner will receive a flag to keep and all winners will receive gift cards for art supplies.

Guidelines

• Submissions due: Friday, December 12, 2025
• Judging will take place late December and the winner will be announced early January.
• Each first place winner will receive a flag to keep and all winners will receive gift cards.
• Eligibility:
  
  • Open to K-12 students with a current AEM member teacher. Each AEM member may submit up to 10 designs.
• The categories are:
  
  • Elementary (K-5), Middle (6-8), & High School (9-12)
